This is a simple set of utilities that automate changing your desktop picture in various ways. For more info, see the section What is this bundle? in the DPC Bundle Documentation file. By the way, reading documentation isn’t a bad thing.
The Desktop Picture Changer Bundle is freeware. You need Mac OS 8 to use any of it. If you like it so much that you feel you need to give me something, take a look at http://www.interlog.com/~sarwat/painting. If you do use it, please send me some e-mail. Since it’s freeware, this is the only way I can know if people like it (and that I should keep working on it).
What you should have
DPC Bundle Quick Start A text clipping telling you how to get started. Just double click it.
Desktop Picture Changer This applet does all the work. Read DPC Bundle Documentation for more info.
Desktop Picture Aligner This sets default alignment settings for each of your pictures. This is a really useful tool. You don’t need the rest of this package to use it.
DPC Preferences Lets you set certian preferences for the Desktop Picture Changer.
DPC Speech Settings DPC will report errors using the Speech Manager if it’s available. If you don’t like that, you can use this to change the settings. See the documentation for more info.

The scripts haven't changed (no one's complained, so I assume there's nothing I need to fix), but Desktop Picture Aligner (DPA) has had a few enhancements.
• DPA now lets you set the alignment to the corners of the screen in addition to the left, right, top and bottom edges.
• DPA lets you change the creator type of files that you process.
• Clicking the close box on the main DPA window now quits the application.
• Better error reporting in DPA. Also, if an error occurs when processing more than one file, it gives you the option of skipping the rest of the errors.
• There's an "Open…" button on the main window for convenience.
Redistributing the DPC Bundle
You can redistribute the DPC Bundle as long as you do not make any modifications to it. Do not give people the scripts that you have run. Only give them the original Stuffit archive. If you give them the DPC Bundle scripts that you’ve run, they won’t be able to set their preferences properly. The DPC Bundle may not be redistributed commercially in any way without my written consent, with the exception of online services.
